1. Lab Research Fellowships:

The Brain and Spine Lab is currently accepting applicantions from medical students and graduates of the Jagiellonian University Medical College for positions on our research team at the Department of Anatomy. The position is open to any and all students, however, preference will be given to students/graduates with prior research experience or who have demonstrated academic excellence.

 

The positions will require participation in research activities across the spectrum of TBSL research, ranging from dissection and microscopy to evidence-based methods. A minimum commitment of two years is required. The positions will be extremely demanding and require significant dedication of time and effort on a daily basis. Participants will be required to take on-call shifts for preparation of specimens. Successful applicants will be trained in all research methods and have the opportunity to co-author publications with TBSL.

  1. Evidence-Based Research Fellowships:

On a rolling basis, the TBSL in collaboration with the from the iEBA-WG (International Evidence Based Anatomy Working Group) is accepting applications for Evidence-Based Research Fellowships. The fellowship will consists of working on meta-analysis and systematic reviews on topics related to clinically focused anatomy and pathology of the brain, spine and skull. Interns will be both trained in evidence-based research methods and engage in research over digital online communications (ie Skype). As such, we are open to receiving applications from qualified Individuals from across the globe currently working or studying at their home institution.

 

Eligibility:

  • Graduated from medical school (MD) or earned a PhD in anatomy in the past 3 years OR currently enrolled in medical school (3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th year students only) or in a PhD program in an anatomy or a related field.

  • Prior research experience as demonstrated by a publication in a peer reviewed journal or a presentation at an international conference.

  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.
